NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 1 – The producer of poultry products, Kenchic, has committed to food quality after getting a new certification.
This comes after the Thika processing plant was issued the Food Safety System Certification (FSSC 22000 2018 V 5.1- 2022).
It was issued with the certificate following a stringent and comprehensive audit process that evaluated various aspects of Kenchic’s operations.
The exercise covered a wide range of processes, including the slaughtering of chickens, the processing of raw fresh and frozen poultry products, raw further processed products, and ready-to-eat products.
“This certification reaffirms our dedication to ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality poultry products,” said Jim Tozer, Managing Director at Kenchic Ltd.
“We have been a trailblazer in setting food safety standards since 2011 when we got our first FSSC 22000 certification, and this recognition is a testament to our ongoing commitment to uncompromising quality,” Tozer added.
