CMC Motors exits passenger vehicle market, to focus on agricultural machines

NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 24 – The dealer of agricultural machinery, CMC Motors, has announced that it will be exiting the passenger vehicle market and instead focusing on agricultural tools.

As part of the strategy, the dealer has partnered with various organizations to revolutionize the African agriculture sector.

It is working with the likes of the Kenya Agriculture and Livestock Research Organisation (KALRO), the World Food Programme (WFP), and the Food to Market Alliance (FTMA).

“This collaboration aims to provide farmers with the latest agricultural technology and knowledge, empowering them to maximize the potential of their land and contribute to food security and economic development,” the firm said in a statement.

“Furthermore, CMC Motors and New Holland are committed to addressing global food security challenges through climate-smart agriculture, including greenhouse gas reduction, water resource conservation, and biodiversity preservation through innovative agricultural solutions,” it added.

This was said after CMC Motors celebrated its 75th anniversary in Kenya.

As part of the celebration, it said it will distribute 1,000 free safety kits across East Africa in alignment with SDG 3 and SDG 12.

Sakib Eltaff, MD of CMC Motors, expressed his appreciation for New Holland’s investment in the collective future, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to providing farmers with the skills and resources they need to succeed.
