JKIA named best airport for cargo in Africa

Nairobi, Kenya Feb 24 – Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) has been named the best airport in Africa for cargo by the STAT Times Award.

JKIA scooped the STAT Trade Times International Awards in an event that was held in Johannesburg, South Africa.

“We are proud to receive this award having been named the best airport in cargo operations is such a big achievement to us and congratulations to the entire JKIA team for this well-deserved recognition by the STAT Trade Times international awards for excellence in Air cargo,” Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) director Alex Gitari said.

The award will strengthen JKIA’s position as Africa’s leading cargo infrastructure provider, as it has invested heavily in infrastructure and facilities for perishable goods such as flowers.

The STAT Trade Times International Awards of Excellence are a renowned award that recognizes achievements and excellence in cargo operations and air transport services globally.
