US-Kenya trade program inviting SMEs eyeing global market

NAIROBI Kenya,22 Feb – Kenyan Small and Micro Enterprises (SMEs) that are looking to scale up by going international or those that want to export more to the U.S. market are set to benefit from the US-Kenya SME Trade Initiative Program.

This program which was c0-organized by the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) targets 25 SMEs provides a unique platform to facilitate US-Kenyan SME partnership, supporting women and youth-run businesses.

“The U.S – Kenya SME Trade Initiative Program provides a unique platform to facilitate U.S. and Kenyan SME partnerships, supporting women and youth-run Kenyan entrepreneurs as well as U.S. women, minority, and diaspora owned businesses,” KEPSA said.

To be eligible for this program, one must have been in operation for at least one year, have less than one hundred employees, must be registered in Kenya and operational in any of the 47 counties.

Other eligibility criteria include the need to be ready to export or has been exporting and wants to scale up.

The application is open to KEPSA members only.
