NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 5 – ABC Bank emerged the winner in the Finance and Investment Category during the recent Champions of Governance Awards 2019, organized by the Institute of Certified Secretaries.
Inaugurated in 2010, the Champions of Governance Awards, aims at promoting good governance practices by organizations by recognizing the practice of good governance in private and public-sector entities, innovations in organizations that support good governance practices and encouraging private and public-sector entities to focus on enhancement of good governance.
ABC Bank was recognized for implementing and complying with high standards of good corporate governance. The Bank has also made investments in innovations and processes to that end.
“This recognition is a result of our deliberate and consistent efforts to enforce ethical leadership and corporate citizenship in all our interactions with customers, stakeholders and our regulators,” said the Group Managing Director Shamaz Savani.
This award reaffirms ABC Bank’s commitment to the principles of good corporate governance by safeguarding customers while employing efficient practices in providing quality service and products to customers.
The Bank was also recently recognized as being among best banks in customer satisfaction in the Think Business Banking Survey 2019 published by Banktrak. “We attribute this recognition to our customers’ support and loyalty over the years and are grateful to them for this,” said Savani.
