Ex-Uchumi boss Kipng’etich named regional Jubilee Insurance CEO

Kipng’etich resigned from his job as Uchumi CEO/FILE

NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 10 – Former Uchumi Supermarket boss Julius Kipng’etich has been appointed regional Chief Executive Officer for Jubilee Insurance effective January 1, 2018.

Kipng’etich resigned from Uchumi after two years attempting to turn around the struggling retailer.

Kipng’etich has previously served as the Chief Operating Officer at Equity Group Holdings and was also a Director and Chief Executive Officer at Kenya Wildlife Service.

He also serves as a Non-Executive Director at Standard Group, the Kenya Tea Development Agency, Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation and Jubilee Insurance Kenya.

“He brings to the group considerable knowledge and experience in strategy and management. The board welcomes him to the Jubilee Holdings Group and look forward to his valuable contribution,” Company Secretary Margaret Kipchumba said.
