Lounge Unplugged teams up with Blankets & Wine

The Lounge Unplugged concert featuring neo-soul great Bilal has now been pushed to July 1. Bilal Oliver is now set to be part of a massive ensemble put together by the team from the Lounge and – surprise surprise – the team at your monthly dose of stellar live music, Blankets and Wine.

Bilal, who is a Grammy nominee, will be present at the second ever mash-up concert at the Leisure Garden in Mamba Village.

The Mash-up will involve the Meet the Danes Project: which is work between Benjamin Aggerbaek, Louise Hoegh, and Palle Klok and Kenyans Juliani, Winyo and Chris Adwar.

Crooner/strummer Stan will be the icing on cake.

Bilal has produced three albums, the last earning him the Grammy nomination for a song about his autistic son.

He has done impressive collaborations with all the big names in the world of neo-soul, including Common, Jill Scott, Guru Jazzmatazz, Erykah Badu, Musiq Soulchild and even the golden couple Jay Z and Beyonce.

For those interested in attending this musical collage, advance tickets will retail at Sh1,300 and Sh1,500 at the door.

Sponsors are Minute Maid Pulpy, Dormans, Blankets, Keringet, Virgin Atlantic, the Danish Embassy and Capital FM.
