NAIROBI Kenya, Apr 10 — Muslims faithful on Wednesday came out in large numbers to celebrate Eid-Ul-Fitr in different parts of the country.
Men, women, and children gathered in various locations to conduct their prayers.
Cabinet Secretary for Defense Aden Duale joined Muslims at Eastleigh High School Grounds in Nairobi for Eid-ul-Fitr prayers.
He urged Muslims to pray for peace in Kenya and worldwide.
Former Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho joined fellow Muslim brothers in commemorating Eid UL Fitr with prayers at Ummul Kulthum Mosque grounds in Mombasa.
Muslims in Kisumu also gathered at Highway Primary School for prayers to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr.
Eid-ul-Fitr is a major religious holiday for Muslims that marks the end of the month-long fasting period of Ramadhan which is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar.
