Flavor by Fire, a fantastic culinary experience introduced in Kenya

When it comes to having a great weekend barbecue, beer is as important as the food and the company you have. It is not only just a drink you brew but it perfectly works as a fantastic marinade that can give your BBQ a distinct flavor that is truly finger licking and all so yummy. A beer marinade tenderizes meat and adds another layer of flavor. Beer and barbecue go hand in hand – a perfect pairing.

On Thursday 1st July 2021, Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) through Guinness variant Hop House 13 held a media event at The Liquor House, to unveil a new fantastic barbecue experience dubbed ‘Flavor by Fire’, a concept that will usher in a new culture of Hop House 13 paired with food, casual dining with friends and celebrating local Chefs. Guests who included journalists, media personalities and social media influencers were treated to plenty of food and drinks and most importantly, they got to have the whole 360-degree experience of how to use beer as the perfect marinating pair for your meat. The results were indeed a mouthwatering favorite for the guests.

Speaking at the event, EABL Head of Marketing Beer, Anne Joy Michira said, “There’s something very special about cooking food over fire. It brings people together in a way you don’t get using other cooking methods. Hop House 13 has a similar effect – it’s the perfect way to celebrate getting together with friends and family for some quality time.”

To drive awareness and reach of the experience, Hop House 13 will be working with barbecue enthusiasts George Grill King, celebrated Chef Rubia and Chef Stephanie. They will uniquely experience this with Hop House 13 inspired recipes, demonstrating to consumers how to prepare the food and pair it with your favourite drink. Boasting of bold and distinctive flavour, it makes Hop House 13 an obvious choice when pairing with foods that are rich in flavour, aroma, appearance, and mouthfeel.
