If there’s ever a place dedicated to A-list celebrities and designers to express their inner-most quirky, rebellious and creative side, it’s the Met Gala.

This year’s theme was just as bold as previous ones: Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.

Not only did it aptly describe the current world we live in in which choosing a Snapchat filter is the most arduous task in your day (and yes, I am guilty), but it also delved into production elements of fashion.

Whereas few things can beat the charm of having a gown carefully and deliberately stiched to create the final masterpiece, one can’t deny the innovations in technology that have propelled the fashion industry.

This time, top hollywood actors, reality stars, models and musicians got a chance to explore a more technical side of fashion at this highly exclusive event. Needless to say, the red carpet looked a lot like a scene out of Terminator – runway edition.

Here are some of the most daring looks from the 2016 Met Gala!
