Sensational Nigerian singer Yemi Alade is in the country on a promotional tour for her new studio extended playlist dubbed African Baddie.
The new project sees the singer’s return to the scene with a refreshing new urban sound as the year grounds to a halt. The 8-song features collaborations with heavyhitters like Phyno, Zlatan, Bisa Kdei and Haitian Joe Dwet File among others.
“I did not think that I would be releasing new music but I have lots of new music recorded. We saw it right to have some of it out for the fans,” She says of the EP. Her decision to come Kenya is partly informed by her love for the country which she says she considers “her second home.”
Working with Spice extends her repertoire of international collaborations. She calls the Jamaican artiste a “diligent hardworker in the industry.”
Alade worked with Beyonce on the first Black Panther soundtrack, an experience she considers surreal. “Her Park Wood management company reached out to me asking that I be on the project. The rest is history,” Utters the Johnny singer.
