The Sauce highlighted the biggest female artists in Kenya right now last week, and it would only be right if we flipped it this week. Seeing as it goes without saying that Kenyan music has been on great trajectory for the past few years, testosterone has also been dominating the airwaves just as much as the estrogen.

An assortment of new kids on the block, pioneers and established veterans, this list highlights 10 of the biggest names hitherto reigning supreme in the music world.

Bien

As a former member of the legendary band Sauti Sol, Bien-Aimé Baraza has successfully launched a solo career. His music, often a mix of Afro-pop and R&B, has garnered him a massive following and made him one of the most-streamed artists in Kenya. After the group announced their hiatus, the “Lifestyle” crooner embarked on a solo career that has since been laden with the highest of highs.
