NAIROBI, Kenya, May 4 – Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has urged former President Uhuru Kenyatta to give President William Ruto space to deliver his mandate.
Duale recalled that leaders did not incite the public when Uhuru was in charge as president.
“We gave you space to rule for ten years when you were the President. We did not incite you but gave you the chance to be President. Please follow the example of your predecessors and give President William Ruto a chance to rule,” he stated.
‘The way you were given ten years of respect, even you give President Ruto a chance to rule. The affordable housing project failed to kick off during your tenure. Also the Universal Health Care scheme. Let President Ruto implement them.”
Uhuru on Saturday took a swipe at President Ruto stating how his regime becomes uneasy whenever the youth voice their concerns.
Speaking at the wedding of David Kimoi, former Baringo Senator Gideon Moi’s son, Uhuru revealed how the late retired President Daniel Moi showed him the ropes in his political journey and wasn’t agitated by young people.
In a veiled jab at the current regime, Uhuru compared how Ruto’s administration is unable to withstand the pressure from the youths who call for better governance.
“You know, I tell people that I had a biological father who was a politician who put political genes in my system, and they are still there, but now they are lying low,” the former President pointed out.Â
