Police to hold juvenile suspect in Eric Maigo’s murder for 21 days to complete probe

NAIROBI, Kenya, Sep 27 – Police have been allowed to hold the juvenile suspect in the murder of Nairobi Hospital Finance Director Eric Maigo for 21 days.

This is to allow detectives to complete their investigations into the incident as well as ascertain her exact age.

During this time, the police will also undertake a DNA and fingerprint analysis of the suspect who had been caught on CCTV fleeing Maigo’s house.

The suspect was arrested on Tuesday evening in Kibera.

Duty Magistrate Zainab Abdhul directed that the matter be mentioned on October 18,.

Maigu is said to have been killed at Woodley Estate on September 15.
