98.4 Capital FM, the leading urban radio station, in partnership with Taita Hills Safari Resort and Spa, Red Bull and Tusker Malt held an all-white party celebration in honor of the one of the most talented and recognized faces in the Entertainment industry, Adrian Washika, popularly known as DJ Adrian, who turned 50 this year. It was a style, elegance and fancy fashion affair as guests who included some of his biggest fans, were treated to a lavish buffet dinner at the serene and beautiful Taita Hills Safari Resort and Spa and thereafter, danced the night away as Dj Leo, Dj Jo Kisila, Dj Pinye and Dj Adrian all took turns in keeping the fans on their feet with their DJ mixes.

In an exclusive interview with Capital FM, Adrian revealed that he started his career playing at home and later got his first paying gig, playing at a pub in Westlands that belonged to his friend’s parents. Shortly after he joined Capital FM in 2002 having participated and won an on-air DJing contest hosted by then Hits not homework Presenter Jimmi Gathu, going onto to become one of the most acclaimed, respected and consistent deejays in the industry, earning the accolade, Legendary DJ. To date, Dj Adrian is still part of the Capital FM Family with shows every Friday on Capital in the morning at 6 am and Sunday soul every Sunday from 3 pm.

The destination party, an all-weekend affair, which began on Friday 18th June and ended on Sunday 20th June was a once in a lifetime exclusive opportunity to spend time with Dj Adrian and the Capital FM family who all graced the celebrations at Taita Hills Safari Resort & Spa, located at the main entrance to the Taita Hills Sanctuary in South Eastern Kenya.
