We have over time warned serious consequences will follow those who imagine ICC is another Milimani Commercial Court. Cases facing our leaders are too serious to be treated with the sort of contempt we are witnessing. The sooner we realize we are faced with a totally different ballgame the better. But I guess we will adjust now given this fatal first shot.

The icc should have tried to have the guy taken to kenyan courts before attempting this in honour of the principle of coplimentality,The offence carries a maximum jail term of only 5 years meaning it is really minor. Also is this not an attempt to block the guy from not testifying for the defence?

ICC is in charge of all ICC-related matters in Kenya. Kenyan courts have no place in ICC issues. Remember this fellow was subverting ICC not Kenyan courts. And Kenyan authorities, as an interested party, never raised a finger against Barasa’s illegal activities. We have been acting counter ICC Mr. Mwaura!

…..“I told him to go ahead and issue the warrant,” Barasa said….. Did you have a choice, Mr Barasa? It is as though big dad was going to smack the poor ICC investigator, just like we used to do in primary school – ‘go ahead and ‘see’……’

Barasa must have a good reason to have challenged that ICC guy Paul Irani to seek that warrant. Just sit and watch this ex intermediary reveal to us how the OTP finds and retains witnesses. After all, he worked for them!
