Wendy Williams seeking help from her past cocaine addiction

US daytime talk show host Wendy Williams has been secretly living in a sober house, a confession that has shocked many. On Tuesday, she opened up on her show saying only her husband, Kevin Hunter knew about it and no one else.

“I have been living in a sober house. … You know I’ve had a struggle with cocaine in the past,” she said on The Wendy Williams Show. “I never went to a place to get treatment … there are people in your family, it might be you … I want you to know more of the story.”

Williams battled with cocaine addiction for a decade and started a foundation with her family in 2014 to help those affected by drug abuse and poverty.

The talk show host had been absent from her daytime talk program from January until March 4, attributing the hiatus to a fractured shoulder and her battle with a Grave’s disease, an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid.
