Ben Affleck “ruined” his “tough” guy persona by repeatedly stumbling on the set of ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’.

The 43-year-old star was partially blinded by the cowl on his Batsuit and his co-star Henry Cavill – who plays Superman in the blockbuster – found it hilarious watching him try to look “mean” in character and then suddenly trip over things due to his reduced peripheral vision.

Speaking about Ben’s mask troubles, Henry joked: “Ben with the cowl on and then his armoured cowl on as well had trouble with his peripheral vision. There were a lot of times when you would see him walking around looking all mean and tough and then you would see him trip over the smallest of things on set and then all of a sudden the illusion was completely ruined.”

Despite the limitations Ben experienced in his suit, Henry did like his co-star’s superhero outfit – even though he isn’t sure why Batman has a cape because The Dark Knight can’t really fly.

In an interview on ‘This Morning’, he said: “His cape is for dramatic effect, pretty much. Batman wouldn’t look quite as cool without a cape, he would be a guy in a skin-tight outfit.”
