EasyTaxi, the world’s largest mobile taxi hailing application has launched its operations in Nairobi, Kenya.

Founded in April 2012 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, EasyTaxi is a global pioneer in online taxi services. The application connects taxi drivers and passengers, allowing them to experience a fast, convenient, and safe ride, with just a tap of a button. Currently available in over 28 countries and 200+ cities, the app has globally redefined taxi booking, and most recently, Nairobi’s fragmented taxi sector.

How does Easy Taxi work?

Available on android or iOS, EasyTaxi promises to be a sure and reliable way of transportation for commuters in Nairobi.  Customers need to download the mobile application, which will identify your location through GPS. Once the your location has been recognized, you will be able to ‘Request Taxi’. The app will then scan for a taxi and assign one that is closest to your location. Payment is completed with the taxi driver, directly.

August 2nd is Free Taxi Day

On Saturday, 2nd August,Easy Taxi will be offering a Free Taxi Day where passengers in Nairobi will enjoy unlimited Easy Taxi rides from0:01AM to 23:59PM.

All rides up to 500 KSh in value will be covered by Easy Taxi. If your ride is less than 500 KSh, then your ride will be free!
