New dating app for shy people: Anomo

anomo

Specifically aimed at introverts, this new dating app allows users to share their identity, if they want. Linked to Facebook, users can get to know one another before they share their Facebook profiles.

According to Anomo, the app “democratizes the way we socialize where first impressions are based on more than a simple photo.” Relationships are first based on a genuine connection, then you interact further with games and finally, eventually reveal your identities.

The process begins with selecting an avatar and sharing your gender and age range. You can choose to verify your details via Facebook, but other users do not see your Facebook profile. Simply put, you’re not really mingling with people anonymously, rather you’re simply wearing a mask. Users then are placed in mixed-gender groups for a casual ice breaker – a simple survey. The app then places you with other users who answered in similar ways the next time you play.

Anomo matches you to a link-minded community and hopefully, no more awkward dates.
