Rwandan-born, Kenyan-raised, and now Paris-based artist Murwanashyaka Nzabonimana known to fans as Isacco is preparing to celebrate his African heritage with the release of a bold new album later this year.
The project effortlessly weaves together Rwandan traditions, Kenyan rhythms, and global musical influences. It reflects Isacco’s life journey and his dedication to honouring African artistry from the diaspora.
Before the album drops, Isacco is set to make a much-anticipated return to the stage on July 4 at the iconic Casino de Paris, where he’ll perform as the opening act for renowned Ivorian star Debordo Leekunfa. “It’s an honour to share this stage,” Isacco says. “For me, this isn’t just a comeback — it’s a glimpse into the next chapter of my sound.”
Audiences at the show will also be treated to an exclusive premiere of a brand-new track from his upcoming album.
For Isacco, preparing for live performances is more than just rehearsing — it’s a ritual. “I pour my heart into every element: the vocals, my stage presence, and the energy I give to the crowd,” he explains. “Each show is an opportunity to share my story and create a real emotional connection with my audience.” His commitment to delivering authentic and high-energy performances has made his live shows a truly memorable experience.
At the core of Isacco’s music is a deep respect for his cultural roots. “Music is my lifeline to Rwanda, no matter where I am,” he says. Whether through collaborations with fellow African musicians, engaging with diaspora communities, or blending traditional sounds into contemporary tracks, Isacco keeps his heritage alive while constantly exploring new creative horizons.
