Sauti Sol was invited to speak and perform at the TED Global stage last year.

The famed group of four highlighted the evolution of afrobeat and it’s role in advancing African music on the global stage. Speaking at the event, Bien said “the role of Afrobeats in emancipating and getting over the colonial mindset of the youth cannot be ignored. Afrobeats has played the strongest role so far if you ask me… we are the superstars of our generation. We are the solution to their musical problems. ”

The foursome performed “Live and Die in Afrika,” “Sura Yako” and “Kuliko Jana.”
