Bahati has been in the headlines all month, and yet again his weekend antics have many wondering if he has his head screwed on right.
Eastlands’ Most Beloved Bahati took the internet by storm, sharing images of himself in a dress after shooting the viral ‘Flip The Switch’ challenge with wife Diana Marua. He went on to share a short dance, in a short red dress, high heels and earrings too. He captioned the bizarre post “Was Forced to Put on this Dress Jus for TikTok – But Singetoa without Imitating #Akothee Sitaki Shida.”

And although he intended for the post to be taken in jest, it turns out some did not find it funny. Gospel artist Ringtone went on to bash Bahati for cross dressing, insisting that perhaps Bahati had been paid by the gay community for the viral post. Moreover, he went to question Bahati’s respect for his position as a gospel artist and for himself as a man.
Ringtone was not alone in criticizing Bahati, as Nameless commented, “Woiiii…bhangi hiyo haikuwa imekauka vizuri.” while comedian Jalang’o went to on to insinuate Bahati may have just lost his marbles.
But it seems even after the uproar from Bahati’s quarantine laughs, he still remains faithful to share an encouraging message with the world. The new release ‘Mwisho wa Dunia’ dropped on YouTube yesterday (26.04.2020) and has been well received.
Bahati joins a slew of other local artists who have shared tracks on Coronavirus. The track is a positive message, to uplift the thousands who may have lost hope during these difficult times. He goes on to urge the public to put their faith in God, and remain in prayer.
