Kenyan media personality Betty Kyallo has spoken her unpopular truth on being a role model.
The K24 news presenter recently came out on an Instagram live session with her friend Sarah to announce that there is so much pressure in her career.
The seemingly drunk and frustrated celebrated personality went on to curse out and say that aside from her daughter Ivanna she is not anyone’s role model. She also noted that she did not care what bloggers are going to write about her and her little meltdown on the social media platform.
She added that people always expect to act a certain way and not party but sometimes she just wants to have a good time.
The clip has been widely shared online with a section of her fans calling her out for her slurred words and cursing. Others understand her predicament and agree with her.
This is not the first time a Kenyan celebrity has lashed out at their fan base over being a role model.
Controversial singer Esther Akoth alias Akothee in 2019 firmly said that she did not want to be a role model. This was after she was called out for indecent dressing during one of her performances at the coast.
The pressure on public figures to always look put together and to be perfect in every sense of the word is a curse that many celebrities cannot escape. However, they are human and are prone to mistakes like every other person.
