The purpose of the scholarship is “to encourage and support young women who are unafraid to think outside the box and are bold, creative, conscious and confident,” according to the official announcement posted on Beyonce’s website. Created to celebrate the one year anniversary of her hit album Formation, the scholarship will see 4 students transformed into change makers. As excitement sweeps over the internet, the Bee Hive is buzzing as many students look into how they could earn themselves a spot as a beneficiary of the scholarship. The scholarship is only valid for students in 4 major universities namely Berklee College of Music, Parsons School of Design, Howard University, and Spelman College. It seems students from the participating colleges are over the moon over the scholarship as they awaiting the opening of the application period.
