Radisson Hotel Group strengthens its presence in Africa by signing seven new hotels, contributing to its expansion plan and increasing its African portfolio by over 1,400 rooms. These new hotels encompass various brands, from upscale to premium luxury lifestyle, and mark the Group’s entry into Gambia while introducing new brands in Nigeria, Egypt, and Kenya.
They remain dedicated to the African hospitality industry, continuously providing opportunities for guests and employment for local communities. With the addition of these seven new hotels and over 1,400 rooms signed in 2023, the Group reaffirms its commitment to the continent’s growth. The relevance of their brands and the trust of their owners drive their consistent growth across Africa.
According to Elie Younes, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Development Officer at Radisson Hotel Group, the Group’s focus on the African market contributes to the hospitality industry by offering more possibilities for guests and generating employment opportunities for local communities.

Ramsay Rankoussi, Vice President of Development for Africa & Turkey at Radisson Hotel Group, highlights the company’s growth rate in Africa. The strategy of repositioning existing hotels under their brands has yielded success, resulting in commendable 15 percent year-on-year growth. The Group aims to reach 150 hotels within the next five years, building on their current 100 hotels.
New Hotel Signings:
Radisson Collection Resort, Marsa Alam Port Phoenice (Egypt)
Scheduled to open in early 2025, this premium lifestyle resort will introduce the Radisson Collection brand to Egypt. Located in Port Phoenice on the Red Sea, it features Mediterranean and Italian architecture, offering 294 rooms, including 20 suites. Guests can enjoy a wide range of amenities, including dining venues, entertainment options, boutique shopping, cultural expeditions, and a vibrant nightlife.



Radisson Collection Hotel & Conference Center, Abuja (Nigeria)
Opening in early 2025, this 249-room hotel marks the first luxury hotel in Abuja. Situated in the sought-after Maitama District, it offers various room types and nearly 3000 square meters of meeting spaces. The hotel’s proximity to the Presidential Palace and popular attractions caters to both business and leisure travelers.

Radisson Blu Beach Resort & Spa, Banjul (Gambia)
Opening in early 2025, this 462-room hotel marks Radisson Hotel Group’s debut in Gambia. Located in Banjul’s Bijilo region, the resort provides direct access to the ocean and picturesque landscapes. Contemporary rooms, presidential apartments, multiple food and beverage outlets, a fitness and wellness center, and versatile meeting and event spaces are among the features.


Radisson Blu Hotel Abuja CBD (Nigeria)
Opening in early 2025, this 104-room hotel is the first Radisson Blu hotel in Nigeria’s capital city. Situated in the Central Business District, it caters primarily to business travelers. The hotel offers a stylish piano bar, an all-day dining restaurant, fitness and wellness facilities, and ample meeting and event space.

Radisson RED Lagos VI (Nigeria)
Opening by the end of 2025, this 62-room Radisson RED hotel expands the Group’s presence in Lagos, Nigeria. Located in Victoria Island, the main business and financial center, the hotel embraces the bold and cutting-edge Radisson RED brand. Unique food and beverage concepts, a gym, a pool, and flexible meeting and event space await guests.



Radisson Hotel Nairobi Airport (Kenya)
Opening in mid-2027, this new-build, 200-room hotel will be Radisson Hotel Group’s first property in Kenya. Located near JK International Airport and Nairobi National Park, it offers convenient access for tourists and business travelers. The hotel features a lobby bar, an all-day dining restaurant, a gym, a spa, and ample meeting and event space.


Radisson Hotel Algiers El Mouradia (Algeria)
Opening in mid-2026, this 148-room hotel complements Radisson Hotel, La Baie d’Alger, currently under construction. It’s strategically positioned near the city centre, the Port of Algiers, and key government establishments. Guests can indulge in a variety of food and beverage outlets, including an all-day dining restaurant, a signature restaurant, a juice bar, and a sky bar. It also offers a coffee bar, a co-working space, extensive meeting and event spaces, and leisure facilities such as a swimming pool, a retail area, a spa, a hair salon, and a gym.
