A woman awakened aka Kujipenda ni Form was the theme of the second edition of Fashionable Step Mum’s Brunch, which was held at Sankara Nairobi, Autograph Collection, a contemporary five-star hotel in Westlands. The inexplicably très chic afternoon was filled with joy and love, and good vibes as women gathered around to honor, share, remind themselves to keep loving themselves and to appreciate their unique inner self and celebrate who they are.
The ever so fabulous, beautiful, glamorous, stylish, gracious and extremely gorgeous Mrs Catherine Njeri Kariuki, the creator of Fashionable Stepmum and her husband Rtd Major Michael Kariuki were on hand to welcome the guests and thank each and everyone in attendance, for their presence and support. In their speeches separately, they reminded the women, that self-love is not selfish.
Loving yourself is that positive outlook you embrace that keeps you shining and glowing through the ups and downs and in the end, preparing yourself to be whole and undivided when the right kind of love makes its way to you.
With self love, no amount of trolling, bullying or societal opinions shakes you. You simply brush it off as noise, because its simply that, noise!
