Turning a year older especially in your 30s’ isn’t something to be afraid of; just ask award-winning African entrepreneur, founder and CEO of Marini Naturals, the sassy and ever gorgeous and beautiful Ms Michelle Ntalami. For one week, she counted down the days to her birthday in a series of fire, jaw dropping and absolutely stunning pics by photographer Cyril Miheso, on her Instagram page dubbed #MadeInKenya. Her philosophy? “The only thing you can ever take away from me is notes.” 

To commemorate the occasion, Michelle Ntalami brought all the important people in her life together for a fabulously funky 37th birthday party dubbed Goddesses or Baddasses, at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence, Nairobi Arboretum. It was an intimate evening of good vibes and conversation amongst her closest and dearest. Michelle who describes herself as “soft, feminine and passionate yet still courageous, powerful and divine- a goddess in the making,” wore a glittering glam gold studded outfit, looking every inch of the goddess that she is. And oh my, it’s what the rest of the world can only hope to look like at 37.  

Her #MadeInKenya series on social media, prior to her birthday, saw her wearing and promoting Kenyan brands and businesses for her photo shoot. In her words, “This year I want to make it a little different. We always expect to receive love and gifts on our birthdays. But this time, that’s exactly what I want to give back. You guys have always loved and supported both @ marini naturals and I throughout my business journey, and now I’m paying it forward.”  

Birthdays are really one of the best days you can possibly have and to celebrate it with friends and family is indeed the icing on the cake, besides all the presents and messages. Nothing makes anyone feel more special than getting a little b-day love and attention.
