It was one of the most highly anticipated concerts of the year and it finally came to pass. Boyz II Men performed for the very first time in Nairobi, Kenya on Saturday at Uhuru Gardens in what could simply be dubbed as the over 35s ‘heng’ of the year. The trio namely Nathan Morris, Wanyá Morris and Shawn Stockman performed at the Stanbic Yetu Festival, some of their most celebrated and best-known classics of the past two decades: “End Of The Road”, I’ll Make Love To You”, “One Sweet Day”, “It’s So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday”, “Motownphilly” and “On Bended Knees” to which the crowd sang along to, word for word.

The Stanbic Yetu Festival musical journey started in August 2020, where Stanbic Bank in partnership with Radio Africa Group brought together musicians and fans for an innovative virtual music experience to help sustain and connect the local and global music community during the pandemic.
Stanbic Bank and Radio Africa Group through The Stanbic Yetu Festival seeks to leverage music, a powerful human connector, to bring to life Stanbic’s brand promise “IT CAN BE” by creating a soulful and magical live musical experience in Kenya, making possibilities real and dreams possible for millions of Kenyans.
