Karl Lagerfeld has teamed up with Pharrell Williams.
Chanel’s chief designer directed the ‘Happy’ singer in a new fashion focused film which will air alongside Karl’s Paris-Salzburg pre-fall collection on December 2, according to WWD,
The movie – which was set in the designer’s Parisian studio – will also star Cara Delevingne and the six-year-old model Hudson Kroenig.
The Grammy Award-winning singer is already well known for his forays into fashion.
The ‘Blurred Lines’ hitmaker – who has worked with Uniqlo, Adidas and Comme des Garcons in the past – also recently collaborated with former Hermes employee and current Moynat designer, Ramesh Nair, to create a series of pochettes and handbags.
Speaking about the connection between fashion and music, Pharrell told the Daily Telegraph: “Well, they are very different – but yes, there are similarities too. You have seven musical notes and you have seven different colours. You have genres of music, and different types and styles in fashion.”
