1. Karun – Glow Up
Beautiful Karun has released a track ‘Glow Up’. The Empawa 100 artist continues to supply her fans with her new wave sound staying true to herself in the track. With more than 50K views, the track has had listeners catching feelings and vibing out to her sultry voice since it was released May 24th, 2019. The percussions play off the base beat, making for a marriage of sounds that fit into any and all occasions especially so, for this cold and grey Nairobi. 2. Rema – Dumebi
Mavin signee Rema is revolutionizing the afrobeat scene. Merging traditional West African sound and entertaining adlibs, Rema released ‘Dumebi’ to almost instant success. The track features some of Nigeria’s young upcoming models including Teens Choice Most Influential and Fashionable Female Awardee Diana Eneje, has been well received worldwide garnering over 600K views on YouTube. Shot by Demola The Director, the track parallels throwback videos with a futuristic vibe for a visually intriguing release. Rema’s previous releases include ‘Corny’, ‘Iron Man’ and ‘Lavida’.
3. Patoranking ft Nyashinski – Nakupenda
Patoranking is working with another Kenyan act, and his recent pick has many blown away. The Naija hitmaker has released a new track with ‘Marathon Runner’ lyricist Nyashinski. The former Kleptomaniax member brings his +254 flair to the track that fuses heavy West African afrobeat with a distinct new trap sound. In the track the duo professes their love, singing ‘Nakupenda’ and it seems fans just can’t get enough. Commenting about the new release, a fan wrote “Kenyan’s well represented By Nyashinski Wapi likes za Shinski❤❤👊. Big up Patoran King Kenyan’s love you.”
