Gospel-turned-secular singer Willy Paul has dropped his new Gengetone song, Manyuria.
The song features cameos from Gengetone artistes Ethic, Boondocks, Mbogi Genje, ZZero Sufuri and Benzema.
Manyuria marks the singer’s further diversion from his gospel music days that clearly are now long gone. The Nezzoh Montana-directed video is a rauchy affair, with a bunch of vixens clad in skimpy outfits and the song’s lyrics that are just as raunchy.
The song is heavily Sheng-intensive as is any typical Gengetone song. The repetitive Unataka nikuchoke, huogopi kumanyuria pretty much sums the whole message of the song.
The controversial singer had earlier in the week posted R.I.P Gengetone on his platforms, a message that elicited quite the backlash. Turns out it was his ploy to debut his new music.
“I said 2021 was gonna be lit…album of the year opener!” he captioned a trailer of the video. He recently made history as Google’s most searched musican in the country in the last 15 years.
