Weird World: A website is looking to hire people to sleep for $2,000

A website is offering $2,000 for five nights of sleeping.

Sleep Standards – a site dedicated to dispensing advice about sleep and the impact it has on people’s health – is offering the successful candidate the chance to get paid for snoozing in five different locations, including a luxury resort.

The candidate will help the site “learn more about the influence of environmental factors on the quality of sleep”.

All expenses are paid for by Sleep Standards and the lucky candidate will receive a healthy sum for their slumbering. Participants will be asked to rate each sleeping experience on a scale of one to 10 and write a detailed report of their sleeping experiences.

The website said: “If we choose you, we will send you to a new sleep environment every night. In each of those environments, we will carefully adjust several environmental factors that we think might improve your sleep quality.”
