In a 6-minute video clip, the televangelist unleashed one insult after another, accusing some bishops of disrespecting his wife.
The seemingly angry man of God is seen telling the stunned churchgoers to respect his wife or else he will kick them out and they should go start their own church if they do. He goes on to stamp his authority saying he does not care as he is the one who founded the church and went on to claim that, that is the reason the media has been fighting him instead of them because he is the ‘Neno’ (the word) which translates that he is the everything.
“If you are not going to respect my wife I will kick you out of my Ministry it doesn’t matter who you are. This time I will show you my power. If you don’t respect her, leave my Church and go start your own wajinga hawa,” says Ng’ang’ a.
He continues to tell them that they found him there when they came with their wives who had Matuta which refers to an unkempt and unclassy hairstyle.
“You have become rich in my Church; stupid, arrogant, useless people, taka taka, rubbish. There is nothing you can tell me,” Ng’ang’ a insulted.
He pauses and asks them if they think can circumcise him. “I want full respect when I cough you answer, just the same way you did when you came here with torn clothes, and you’re rich because of me.”
According to word on the street, the televangelist was mad because he tried to hit on a female bishop in the church but the said Bishop ratted him out to the wife.
Over the recent years, the popular preacher has been embroiled in one controversy after another. According to Nairobi News in 2015, The pastor’s Range Rover Sports car was reportedly driving on the wrong side of the Nakuru-Nairobi highway on Sunday evening when the accident occurred. The deceased, Mercy Njeri, was in the company of her husband Martin Mbugua when their vehicle collided head-on with the Pastor’s car. He was later acquitted of the charges.
He has been involved in several other reckless driving incidents over the years but has always been able to dodge any serious consequences.
Early 2019, he was charged with threatening to kill Citizen TV journalist Linus Kaikai. In the video that was widely shared on social media, Ng’ang’a warned Kaikai to steer clear of church matters and focus on journalism.
Ng’ang’ a appeared before Resident Magistrate Justus Kituku at the Kiambu Law Courts and according to the charge sheet, the pastor was also accused of referring to himself as the Chief General Commander using words that ‘indicated or implied that it was or might be desirable to bring death or physical injury to the Citizen TV journalist.’
In April 2019, he was arrested for allegedly defrauding a businessman Sh3.6 million.
