Kenya’s currently most sizzling group of crooners Wanavokali are back bigger and better with their new fiery release, ‘Hawataweza.’
Staying true to their trademark harmonious and soulful vocals and thought-provoking lyrics, the talented crooners just proved once more why they are Kenya’s much-needed musical acts that effortlessly showcase just how sheer musical talent exists in the country.
The anthemic RnB ballad ‘Hawataweza’ depicts a real-life love dynamic. “It is a passionate conversation between two lovers, as they remind and reassure each other of their promise of love. Despite the existence of fear, doubt and antagonism against their romance, it’s up to them to remain grounded and true, without allowing external forces to get into the way of their happily ever after. “Hawataweza kukupenda, vile ninavyokupenda ~ They won’t love you, like I love you,” Reads the song’s description.
The group is comprised of members Chep, Lena, Mella, Riki, Sam, and Ythera, all of them who decsribe themselves as “share a passion for expressing ourselves through music and seeing the Kenyan music industry thrive and become better.”
