Prolific Swahili broadcaster Badi Muhsin is dead.
According to multiple sources, the Veteran KBC news anchor passed away on Friday, October 8th, 2021, at the age of 67.
Muhsin who had previously undergone surgery to remove kidney stones in 2020, passed on at his home in Mombasa during his afternoon nap. The veteran anchor had his lunch and complained he wasn’t feeling well.
According to a tweet by KBC, the family has confirmed the news of his passing after a short illness.
Muhsin was one of the famed retired journalists who made their comeback to KBC in June 2021. He had worked for the national broadcaster during the Late President Daniel Moi’s era from 1980 and retired in 2002.
He was presented with the Order of the Grand Warrior (OGW) award in 2011 by retired President Mwai Kibaki, for his long service in media.
