The music industry is mourning the loss of gospel hip-hop star Ngashville alias Ngash who was part of the Wernono Family and Fatmod.
According to reports, the hitmaker born Anthony Ng’ang’a passed away at 7 pm on Sunday, August 21, 2022, after he was rushed to the hospital in a critical condition.
Daddy Owen mourned the loss of his friend saying, “Life is very fickle, as I we were just bantering with him about politics, making fun of the situation and hours later, he is no more.”
According to the ‘Mbona’ hitmaker, “He started feeling unwell two or three days ago like he had eaten something bad. “
“However, during those three days, his condition deteriorated very fast. He was rushed to Coptic Hospital on Saturday, August 20 at noon. When he was taken in and admitted, he had started vomiting blood. Doctors discovered he had low blood pressure, so he was admitted into the high dependency unit (HDU) at 3 am on Sunday. Hours later he was taken to the ICU, but his condition was still deteriorating very fast.”
He passed away on Sunday night after family and friends were called in to see him and pray for him. Daddy Owen added, “His postmortem will show what exactly the cause of death is.”
Gospel Minister Pastor T Mwangi paid tribute to Ngash posting, “You embraced me with love and never cared whether I was an upcoming artist. We lived in Ruaka as neighbors and indeed the ministry has lost a great light. May God comfort your family.”
Popular Gospel Dj Sadic wrote, “Escorting you to the cold room was tough my bro. Seeing your lifeless body being taken away was heartbreaking. Sad night indeed. Shine on your way King Ngash.”
A memorial service for the late Ngash will be held at Nairobi Chapel, Ngong Road this Thursday and he will be laid to rest on Friday (26.08.2022) in Githunguri.
