Students at Bristol University have been offered bubble wrap as a means of easing their nerves.

The bubble wrap actually comes as part of a so-called stress relief pack, which has been created with the intention of calming pre-exam nerves. The instructions to the stress-relieving pack read: “For immediate stress relief. Pop three capsules every 4-6 hours, or as needed.”

However, some students subsequently raised concerns about the potentially damaging environmental impact of the bubble wrap.

But, according to the student newspaper Epigram, a spokesperson for the student union said: “We are aware that a number of students have raised concerns about the environmental impact of the bubble wrap.

“Sustainability is important to us which is why the bubble wrap being offered is being reused – it was originally the packaging that various Living Room items arrived in.”
