South African singer-songwriter Tyla has released her highly anticipated self-titled debut album.
She describes the 15-track “TYLA”, which features collaborations with the likes of American rapper Travis Scott and Nigerian singer Tems, as “a melting pot of all the influences” she had growing up.

“Water” was released as the lead single from the album on 28 July 2023. Follow-up singles “On and On”, “Truth or Dare” and the promotional single “Butterflies” were released together on 1 December 2023.
“Art” was released as the fourth single alongside the full album on the day of the album’s release.
“TYLA” features collaborations with Kelvin Momo, Tems, Gunna, Skillibeng, Becky G, and Travis Scott. The album was to be promoted through Tyla’s debut concert tour, however, it was cancelled due to an injury that Tyla suffered before the tour’s commencement.
The 22-year-old found success last year, reaching the top 10 on the U.S. Billboard’s Hot 100 chart and top 5 in Britain with amapiano hit “Water”, a genre fusing house, jazz and log drums that emerged in South Africa.
