Kenyan gospel singer Bahati has shocked Kenyans on Twitter after he hurled insults at popular Jamaican deejay G Money.
The ‘Mama’ singer took to Twitter bitterly reply at the disc jockey who is also a radio presenter at Homeboyz Radio something that has made him a top trending topic on Twitter on Friday morning (28.02.20).
This all started when the radio presenter replied to a tweet by media personality Shaffie Weru who had asked him which Bahati song he would be playing that night, to which G Money savagely replied, “Who is that?”
That set off the gospel star who even took shots at the deejay’s personal life. He claimed that the Jamaican is an upcoming Mixmaster who has been given asylum in Kenya and that he is gay.
Kenyans on Twitter are a divided lot with some applauding Bahati for not taking the disrespect from G Money lying down while others called out the singer for lacking morals just like his counterpart Willy Paul and being clueless about G Money’s success. Some even tried to connect the dots about the homosexual allegations made by Bahati and some attributed the singer’s behavior to his most recent Gengetone collab.
G Money whose real name is Conrad Gray specializes in Dancehall and plays a vital role in the dancehall music industry, that’s why he is known as the dancehall ambassador. He has been in Kenya for more than 10 years having previously worked for BBC 1Xtra in the UK.
Bahati Kioko is a father of four and is a top-selling gospel musician who has been in the industry for about 10 years. He is a multiple award-winning hit-maker who started from the bottom and now he is making it big with endorsements left to right and center as well as a reality show.
