Kenyan musician Tanasha Donna Oketch has been forced to defend her less than impressive performance during her EP launch.
On Friday (31.01.2020) there was pomp and colour at the Sarit Centre Expo during Tanasha Donna’s Donnatella EP launch. It was a star-studded event that was attended by the likes of Nameless and Wahu, Bahati and wife Diana Marua, Khaligraph Jones, Nadia Mukami, Tanzanian DJ Romy Jones and Bonfire Adventures couple Simon and Sarah Kabu.
However, it was not all glam as Tanasha’s performance failed to impress the attendees. Many criticised her poor performance saying that although she looked good and the band was great her voice did not live up to expectations as she was struggling to sing on the podium.
On her Instagram, the 24-year-old addressed why she did not wow the crowd after a fan asked her what she thought of her performance. She acknowledged that her performance could have been better and went ahead to pat herself on the back saying that for the first performance with only two days to rehearse, she did well.
Notably, her boyfriend and music superstar Diamond Platnumz with whom she shares months old Naseeb Junior was missing in action at the event. Tanasha was walked into the event by comedy king Eric Omondi in the place of her Tanzanian beau.
The five-track Donnatella EP features her recently released single ‘La Vie’ featuring Wasafi singer Mbosso as well as collaborations with her man Diamond and Kenyan rap king Khaligraph Jones.
