This week has seen Kenyan artists release new jams left, right and center. From rapper Femi One who is back with a new single titled ‘Hiyo One’ to ‘Hakuna Kulala’ by Brown Mauzo ft Naiboi as well as a comeback titled ‘Kipopo’ by hitmaker Timmy Tdat who has been missing in action alongside Tanzanian Rosa Ree.
HAKUNA KULALA BY BROWN MAUZO FT NAIBOI
R&B Kenyan sensation Brown Mauzo is back with another hit following the release of ‘Mawazo’ a month ago.
The singer’s new project is titled ‘Hakuna Kulala’ in which he has tapped highflying 2 in 1 singer Naiboi to make the song a definite hit.
In ‘Hakuna Kulala’ (Swahili for no sleeping), the two music acts sing the praises of a lover who keeps them awake all night. ‘Hakuna Kulala’ is getting rave reviews from music lovers on YouTube who have been appreciating the effort Kenyan music acts are putting to raise the standards in the industry.
KIPOPO BY TIMMY TDAT FT ROSA REE
Kenyan artist Timmy Tdat is back after a brief hiatus with a new jam alongside Tanzanian singing sensation Rosa Ree.
The Kenyan hitmaker and the TZ femcee have combined to deliver a new banger titled ‘Kipopo’. The banger serves as Timmy’s first release to feature an artist outside of the 254 borders.
Tanzanian Rosa Ree does not disappoint as she brings her A game as the hard-hitting bad girl we’ve always known her to be. I also dare say that she outshines Timmy in his own song. ‘Kipopo’ is produced by Hamado while the video is directed by Enos Olik. It was shot on location at Ngong Hills Wind Farm and Alchemist Club Nairobi.
