Spotify is taking personalized listening to the next level with the launch of AI Playlist, a new beta feature that helps Premium users effortlessly turn their ideas into custom playlists.
Now available in more than 40 markets across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean, the feature lets users generate playlists by typing creative prompts into the search bar. Whether itâs âAfrobeat tracks for the dance floorâ or âSongs to hype me up for a football match,â Spotifyâs AI curates a mix based on listening history, favorite genres, and artists.
Users can refine their playlists by asking for changes like âmore upbeatâ or âadd newer songs,â and while genre or mood prompts work best, Spotify encourages creativity â anything from emojis to movie characters can inspire a playlist.
Spotify says the goal is to help users discover music they might not have found otherwise. By combining AI technology with deep personalization, the platform is opening up new ways for users to explore their musical tastes and connect with emerging artists from around the world.
