Sauti Sol drum up support for their Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Nomination

Sauti Sol bag Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards nomination.

Popular Afro-pop boy band Sauti Sol have been nominated for the 2019 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards (KCAs) in the favorite African star category. Announcing the nomination on Instagram, Sauti Sol who recently launched their own record label Sol Generation and signee BenSoul urged their fans to vote for them ahead of the March 22 deadline.

The ‘Tujiangalie’ hitmakers will be competing against Ghana’s Stonebwoy and Nigeria’s radio personality IK Osakioduwa and actress Adesua Etomi as the Favourite African Stars.

Other notable African nominees include Nigeria’s Davido, who was nominated in the Favourite Global Music Star category to compete against BLACK PINK (Asia), Troye Sivan (Australia/New Zealand), David Guetta (Europe), Taylor Swift (North America), J Balvin (Latin America) and HRVY (UK).

The awards ceremony will be held on March 23, 2019, at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California. DJ Khaled will host the awards that feature categories in music, TV, movies and social media.

As earlier reported by The Sauce, the award-winning music group have a great year lined up They began the year with the release of their highly anticipated LP Afrikan Sauce and are set to perform at the 2019 Essence Fest in July alongside top acts, Nas, Pharell Williams, Mary J. Blige, Missy Elliot, Davido and Timbaland.
