Renowned rap star Octopizzo has released the video for his latest hit ‘Karatasi’.
The track is the forth video release off his 5th studio album ‘Jungle Fever’. According to Mdundo ‘Karatasi’ is Octo’s take on the brainwashing that has happened to the human race due to the importance attached to papers.
In the opening lyrics, Octopizzo notes that before you get a job, employers request to see your papers. He then goes ahead and gives other circumstances that are require papers. In his lyrics he draws similarities between the CEO’s in the office and street children making note that both are motived by money.
In many ways, Don draws lines of similarity also pointing out that money and the pursuit of it is a motivating factor for all across all ages, tribes and classes. The underlying message is also to encourage the audience never to give up but rather to keep chasing that paper, to better their lives.
