Kenyan gospel rapper Eko Dydda might be in forced quarantine at the KMTC but that has not put him down.
According to various reports, the ‘Vidole’ hitmaker was caught by the police along Ngong Road on Saturday, 18th April 2020 past the government imposed 7pm curfew and taken to a quarantine centre.
He had gone out to buy medicine for his wife but couldn’t make it back home in time.
“I had gone for medicine for my wife, and by bad luck, I had issues with my car, and I got late. I was arrested taken to Kilimani police, and my vehicle was towed, he narrated.
In a video seen by The Sauce, the father of two is seemingly taking the forced quarantine situation in stride. In the video Dydda talks about his experience in quarantine, citing how expensive it is in quarantine, different hardships like the lack of face masks and sanitizers.
He went on to talk about spreading love during these tough times and explained that even though there are some bad apples in the police force, they are some good ones who are trying to do the best they can.
He urged fellow Kenyans to take care of themselves so as to not get caught up in the same situation he did. He also thanked his fans for their well wishes and concerns since he was put in quarantine.
Despite his current situation, Eko is being strong and staying positive.
On Tuesday night, Eko’s live phone call on Citizen TV was cut short after his phone was confiscated.
