Kanye West is on a new path, and his highly awaited album is going to reflect that.
Kanye Omari West is set to release his second album this year on the 27th of September 2019 based to a recent post on his website. According to reports, the Gospel album is titled ‘Jesus Is King’ is a manifestation of Kanye’s inward journey to re-discovering his faith. The father of four has had an eventful year, not only surviving a mental breakdown, welcoming a fourth child Psalm West, and releasing a mega album ‘Yandhi’. The ‘Jesus Walks’ crooner has also hosted a series of Sunday services, treating fans and worshippers to his brand of uplifting Gospel music.
‘Jesus Is King’ comes after months of West’s life change and could be one of Gospel rap’s biggest albums yet. As previously reported by The Sauce, West’s wife has been supportive of Omari’s new journey. She previously shared a snippet of Kanye’s creative process for the gospel album. Among the 12 songs, Kanye performed ‘Water’ at the first Coachella Sunday Service earlier this year. Other tracks listed include ‘God Is’, ‘Selah’ as well as ‘Wake The Dead’.

In July 2019 as reported by The Sauce, the ‘Bound 2’ rapper was keen to launch his own religious organization based on his weekly concerts, which he calls Sunday Service. He had reportedly bought a plot of land near his home in Los Angeles so that he can build “pods” for his followers to stay in for a “few weeks at a time” while they focus on his new modern faith.
