A few weeks ago, Popular Tanzanian musician Zuchu released a new jam dubbed ‘Sukari’.
Shortly after being released, the song produced by Ayo Lizer went viral helping Zuchu set a new YouTube record in East Africa.
Upon releasing the track, Lizer and Zuchu were criticized for allegedly copying the beat.
However, Lizer has finally resorted to ending the debate by reminding critics about the song’s success.
In an Instagram post, Lizer maintained that the song was an original and if it was copied, then it would have not received the current success.Walisikika baadhi ya watu flani ooh biti inafanana na #TheOne mara sijui imerudiwa. HEBU niwaulize #Sukari ina views ngapi mpaka sasa? Huko mtaani unakopita unakutana nayo au? Huko club Napo vipi? Huko YouTube bado iko Trending?,” posted Lizer.
Lizer who is the official WCB producer was supported by Zuchu who said his post was all about facts.
Since releasing the Sukari video, a week ago, it has amassed at least five million views shooting to the trending spot in various countries.
