Detectives have arrested popular disc jockey Dj Moh Spice alias ‘The Ruffest and the tuffest’ for his brazen display of a pistol at a nightclub.
DJ Moh Spice was photographed with a pistol tucked under his belt during the birthday party of his brother and celebrated mixmaster DJ Kym Nickdee of NickDee entertainment held at K1 Club. The photos have since gone viral on social media.
On Thursday (15.08.19), the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said DJ Moh was arrested following an outcry from the public via a tweet. The tweet also revealed that he is in custody helping with investigations.

According to the statement, detectives from the Special Crimes and Prevention Unit (SCPU) arrested Moh Spice last night (14.08.19) at Space Lounge Club along Ngong Road where he was playing for the Midweek Reggae Party. A Steyr pistol and 174 rounds of ammunition found in his possession were confiscated.
The dreadlocked spinmaster whose real name is Nicholas Mugo Mwangi is known for his prowess in playing reggae and dancehall music as well as for being a biker. He has club residencies at popular nightclubs around the city.
After his arrest, his brother Kym Nickdee posted a happy picture of him and his sibling with the caption “Ati wanasema?”

Other celebrity deejays who attended the party were Dj Crème de la Crème and Capital FM’s Dj Joe Mfalme among others.
The Firearms Act stipulates that the owner is in charge of keeping the weapon in safe custody so that it is not lost or stolen, “and is not at any time available to any person not lawfully entitled to possess the same”.
Section 18 of the Act states: “Any person who fails to comply with any of the provisions of this section shall be guilty of an offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to a fine not exceeding Sh10,000 or to both”.
