Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has unveiled a list of his top songs of 2024 dubbed Sakaja’s Vibe List.
The Vibe List is a compilation of 36 tracks that capture the energy and diversity of Nairobi’s vibrant music scene.

The list features a mix of local and international hits, showcasing a wide array of genres, from Arbantone to global chart-toppers. Among the standout local hits are Anguka Nayo, Set It, TikToker, Nakam Sai, Digii, Kudade, and Kifo Cha Mende—songs that have been making waves across Kenya and beyond.
Kenyan music icons such as Bien, Bensoul, Nyashinski, and Scar Mkadinali also make notable appearances, reflecting the country’s dynamic talent pool. A standout inclusion is the latest hit from Kodongklan, Disko, which has already gained widespread popularity at events and on social media this festive season.
In addition to the Kenyan sounds, the list features an impressive array of international artists, including Shenseea, Kendrick Lamar, Diamond Platnumz, Ayra Starr, Zuchu, UB40, Joh Makini, and Asake. These artists represent a mix of global influences that complement the energetic local tunes.
Governor Sakaja, who has long had roots in music and the creative industry, expressed his pride in the growing musical landscape of Nairobi. “In 2024, Nairobi continues to be a vibrant hub of creativity, and I am proud to stand as a champion for the creative industry. Our local music scene is not just entertainment; it’s a reflection of Nairobi’s spirit—bold, diverse, and full of life. As a county, we’re committed to nurturing this culture and providing platforms for our artists to thrive.”
